It is ESSENTIAL to follow the below aftercare and trust in the healing process for permanent make up;
Lips are healed using the dry heal method with the Vitamin A balm given to you.
It is critical that you keep the lips dry for a full 10 day period. Please do your best to ensure that water is kept away from the lip area, if you do get water here during drinking or brushing teeth dab gently dry.
In the 10 days post procedure the below must be avoided;
1. Increased Sweating
2. Practicing HIIT Sports
3. Swimmng
4. Hot Saunas, Jacuzzis & baths
5. Sun tanning or salon tanning
6. Any Laser or chemical peels
7. Any cream containing Retinol A or glycolic acid.
Please be aware that levels of swelling after the prcoedure vary from person to person. This is due to the fact that we do not all respond to trauma in the same way. Some will not swell at all but will swell during the procuedre. Others may get no swelling in the procedure and have a delayed onset. This can last for 0.5-2 days but IT WILL GO DOWN. I advise all clients to take a anti-histhemene when they get home after the procedure. A clean cold compress can aid swelling and comfort too.
Please DO NOT pick or scratch the pigmented area in order to avoid removal of pigment.
Please DO NOT wear make up on the lips for the first 10 days.
Please avoid toothpaste for the first day of procedure.
Please use a straw when drinking for ten days.
After Care Process to Expect
Day 1 - AH I love my new Lips! The colour is very bold though and they are swollen and sore! Please use the balm when lips feel DRY & TIGHT.
Day 2-4 - OMG they are changing colour (this is the pigment drying out please dont worry)
DAY 5-10 - Eww they are flaking off (please dont pick!) Please reduce balm usage when fully peeled to allow lips to restore natural balance and to reduce pigment loss.
Day 10+ - What happened my lips are patchy and so light?!
Day 14-28 - Ok my lip colour is back but still a bit patchy
6 Week Top Up - Lets perfect any of those areas!
