  • 2. Testing and Training Information

  • Test owners determine where their exams will be delivered. In general, public, authorized test centers deliver a variety of exams as part of a bundle. Some exams may not be available in all areas, some require additional approval and the exams cannot be granted individually.

  • 3. Technical Information

  • There are minimum hardware requirements to install the Pearson VUE Testing System (VTS) software. This section will help evaluate your equipment and ensure it meets the requirements to deliver an exam through Pearson VUE.

    Running a DX file:

    • On each PC go to Windows and click START (Windows Logo) 
    • In the SEARCH box type “run” and open the run program
    • In the RUN box type: dxdiag and click OK
    • The DirectX Diagnostic Tool will open
    • In the bottom right side, click on Save All Information
    • Label the file according to the location (e.g. admin station, ws 1, ws 2, etc.) and save as a .txt file
    • Run one file for the admin station and each of the delivery workstations

    • Go to https://www.speedtest.net on the admin station and each delivery workstation
    • Select "Go" to run the speed test
    • Take a screenshot of the results and upload them
    • Label each result according to the location (e.g. admin, ws 1, ws 2, etc.)

    • Go to:  http://www.cloudping.info/ on the admin station and each delivery workstation
    • This site allows you to perform an HTTP ping to measure the network latency from your browser to the various datacenters around the world
    • Once there hit the HTTP ping button at the bottom
    • Take a screenshot of the results and upload them
    • Label each result according to the location (e.g. admin, ws 1, ws 2, etc.)

    • Review the Network Checklist and ensure your firewall rules meet the requirements
    • It is highly recommended that internet activity at the Test Center be restricted during exam delivery (e.g. no browsing, downloads, streaming, etc.). If you cannot restrict internet activity, it is recommended that you have a separate internet connection for exam delivery. Failure to do this may impact the candidate experience
  • 4. Contact Information

  • To ensure efficient communication, all contact information is required, but the same person can be used for multiple contacts. Two testing administrator contacts are required. 

    Each contact person must have a separate, personalized business email address that is associated with the testing center. Email accounts such as Gmail, Yahoo, etc. are not permitted. Generic, fake, personal, or shared email addresses are also not permitted. This means that the part before the @ symbol in an email address must be unique to the user. The part after the @ symbol must have a domain name that represents your test center business. For example, the email address for John Doe who works at ABC Testing Center would be jdoe@abctestingcenter.com.

  • 4. Photo Submission

  • An application is not considered complete until all photos are received.

    When submiting photos please ensure that they are labeled accordingly. For example, if submitting a photo of the check-in area please ensure the file is labeled as check-in area. You may submit the application and go back later to add photos.

    Upon submission a confirmation email will be sent with a URL that can be used to go back and add photos at a later time.
