We are currently seeking input from you on how to proceed with a targeted job fair to help our hospitality employers reach the talent they need. Below are three examples of how we can create an event that will best meet all of your needs.
Example One:
"Traditional" Job Fair
We schedule a day, late May, early June, and host a virtual one-day event from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Each participating business is assigned a booth that will have descriptions of all jobs you are currently recruiting for, links to your website and social media outlets, and a bio. Each booth is also equipped with chat capabilities to communicate with job seekers who visit your booth. Interested job seekers can leave a resume for each position they are interested in applying for. Job postings can be modified throughout the event, jobs/new businesses can be added or deleted as well.
Example Two:
"Extended" Job Fair
As in the example above, each business is given a booth with access to open positions, bio, links to website and social media, etc. However, businesses do not need to attend the entire event. This example creates 24/7 access for job seekers and businesses and extends the fair for several days/weeks. Job seekers can still view each open position and leave a resume if interested. Businesses log in when they are available to collect the resumes and reach out to job seekers. The chat function will turn on when the business is logged on to the platform as well. This version creates more access to job seekers and does not require the business to staff the booth for 6-8 hours.
Example Three:
"Business Spotlight" events
If option two is chosen, we can also offer businesses access to a business spotlight. We can schedule a week of spotlights in which a business is provided a virtual stage to talk specifically about their company, the culture and what makes it a great place to work, the open positions, and the best way to apply. This would be a 30-minute Zoom call that I would moderate and recruit job seekers to attend. I am able to run up to three spotlights a day over the course of one week.
