You will want to prepare your family photos and a brief letter to your prospective student.

Please complete the Criminal background Check (CBC) (STEP 1) first, then please RETURN TO THIS PAGE to complete the GH USA Host Family Application (STEP 2) below.
Criminal Background Check
As part of the application process, all persons living in the household that are 18 years and older are required to complete a Criminal Background Check (CBC) through ClearStar®, who will conduct a national/city/county criminal and sex offender background check. Global Horizons USA does not screen credit and must conduct a CBC on household members 18 years and older to ensure the safety and security for our international students.

Why are we conducting the CBC?

• We, like many organizations that place minors in American homes, want to ensure the safety and security of our students to the best of our ability.

• Global Horizons USA is required by CSIET standards to conduct a CBC which includes the national sex offender registry and state/country criminal records.

Please write a letter to your international student welcoming them into your home. Describe your family and write about each family member including grandparents, pets, etc.
