Please join First Focus Campaign for Children and other leading stakeholders in a sign-on letter to congressional leaders urging Congress to make the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) permanent.
We need your voice to ensure that this essential program will be permanently available for the over 9 million children and hundreds of thousands of pregnant women who rely on CHIP for their coverage. In recent years, advocates have been called on Congress to pass CHIP funding extensions while because they have let that funding expire — leaving states, children and parents, and providers in peril.
That uncertainty should never happen again.
For once and for all, let’s make CHIP permanent — like Medicare, Medicaid, and other health programs. Let’s guarantee the existence of the program and allow all of us to spend our time and energy focused on other important programs and funding for children and pregnant women. Let’s make our voices heard so that Congress takes action to make CHIP permanent this year!
We encourage all interested stakeholders — whether your organization is a local, state, or national organization — to sign-on! We would also be grateful for your help in distributing this letter to your networks and coalitions across your state and across the nation.
