COVID-19 Guidelines –
Mandatory Requirements for Competition Participants and all persons visiting the show grounds
a) Participants and all persons entering the show grounds are required to self-monitor their temperature once daily prior to entering the show grounds. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4° F (38° C) or higher may not enter the show grounds.
b) A Participant can be a rider, owner, trainer, coach, groom, staff, official, volunteer or service provider.
c) Participants and Spectators will go through a checkpoint each day for clearance to enter the show grounds.
d) Public/Spectators – For purposes of this document, spectators refers to the general public, fans, or any individuals who are not directly involved in the competition by way of being a participant, a parent, a member of competition staff, a service provider (e.g. media or photographer), volunteer, or other support personnel (farrier, veterinarian, etc.). Extended family members (other than a parent of a participant) are considered spectators.
e) Every person on the show grounds must sign a USEF Waiver and Release of Liability Form before entering the show grounds as well as release to Table Mountain Ranch.
f) Anyone who enters the show grounds must wear a wristband at all times and it must be visible. Sharing wristbands with unauthorized individuals will result in disqualification and the Participant and individual(s) will be asked to leave the show grounds immediately.
g) Anyone on the show grounds is required to wear a face mask/face covering at all times while on the show grounds, except when mounted on a horse.* Proper wearing of a face mask/face covering is to cover the nose and mouth. Face shields without a face mask/face covering are not in compliance following the guidelines of USEF. Failure to properly wear a face mask/face covering by a Participant will be enforced and the individual will be asked to leave the show grounds.
*A participant may choose to wear a face mask/face covering when mounted on a horse and cannot be disqualified or penalized for doing so while competing.
Each spectator (including a member of an immediate household) is required to comply with the Action Plan requirements. This includes, but is not limited to:
o Wearing a face mask/face covering at all times while on competition grounds (except when eating or drinking, or for children under 2 years of age)
o Socially distancing a minimum of six feet from any other person not in their immediate household while on competition grounds.
h) The following individuals are not allowed to enter the competition grounds:
i) Anyone who exhibits COVID-19 symptoms,
ii) Anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 10 days,
iii) Anyone who has tested positive outside of the past 10 days, but is still symptomatic,
iv) Anyone who has been exposed to or has been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19 symptoms or has tested positive for COVID-19 within either the last 7 or 10 days.
2) Feeling Ill During the Competition
If a person starts running a temperature or begins to feel ill during the show, they should go to the Show Medic first, then leave the competition grounds immediately and seek medical attention.
3) Social Distancing/Participant Protocols
a) Participants must comply with social distancing requirements at all times while on the show grounds.
b) A minimum of 6 feet is the separation required and a face mask/face covering must still be worn at all times. This includes family members. There are no exceptions when unmounted.
4) Hand Washing
Wash hands often and adhere to other sanitization practices throughout the day. Hand sanitizer stations are positioned throughout the show grounds.
5) Participants and Spectators
a) Once competition rides are completed for the day, the rider and everyone associated with the rider should vacate the show grounds.
b) Participants should not congregate.
c) Anyone calling a test for a rider must still wear a face mask/face covering.
6) Show Ground Hours
Sunday - The show grounds entrance will open at 6:30am. Any participant boarding at TMR must go through the entrance and get his/her wristband before entering the stabling area.
7) Eating or Drinking During the Competition
To eat or drink, an individual must move far enough away from others to minimize the possibility of being within 6 feet of any other individual before lowering the face mask/face covering to eat or drink. The face mask/face covering must be immediately replaced over the nose and mouth when finished.
8) Failure to Comply
Any Participant who violates the COVID-19 Guidelines of this show may be asked to leave the show grounds. Entry fees will not be refunded.
9) After the Competition
Anyone testing positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of the conclusion of the competition must inform Competition Management, and local health authorities.
