ACA National Equivalent Award: Jack Weiner Leadership Award

The Michigan Emerging Professional Leadership Award is designed to support a young person who is pursuing a career in the camping field. The award will ensure professional development by providing financial support for the recipient to attend and fully participate in the Michigan Fall Gathering and a scholarship to participate in one online ACA Professional Development course.

Eligibility: To qualify a candidate must:

1. be eighteen to thirty years of age
2. demonstrate leadership within the camp community or Michigan field office
3. have an interest in pursuing a career in camping

Membership in the American Camp Association is not required.

Number of Awards: No more than one annually. Nominations are due annually by August 31.
