Thank you for wanting to be a part of the Pirate Encampment!
Tent set up may begin as early as 11am Thurs. Sept. 16th and would need to be completed by 12 noon Friday Sept. 17th. All tents must be off festival property no later than 2pm Mon. Sept. 20th. Each tent must have its own fire extinguisher, bucket of water or bucket of sand.
When you arrive at the festival, please seek out Captain Honey Badger for your setup instructions and to receive your Encampment Packet.
Your Encampment must be kept presentable and open for public display from 2 to 6 on Friday, 10 to 6 on Saturday & 10 to 4 on Sun. Modern day goods or apparatus (cell phones, radios, bottles, cans, etc.) must not be visible to the public during these hours with the exception of festival staff when and where necessary. We do ask that you please refrain from smoking or consuming alcohol during these hours.
Reminder: Each crew will be required to provide a simple “G” Rated lesson, activity, story or interactive game for event patrons.
The Pirate Encampment is closed to the public outside of festival hours.
Quiet time is 11pm.
Only Registered Overnight Campers may remain in the encampment area after 11pm.
Meals/Cooking: Any and all foods that need to be cooked must be cooked outside of the encampment area due to fire restrictions aroud the oak trees. Please inquire if you have any questions.
During festival hours and just prior to opening, food and beverage will be provided at the VIP Tent. (Please understand that with the exception of an open beverage, food and drinks may not be taken out of the VIP.)
Pets: Small pets are allowed in the encampment area provided they are accompanied by their owner at all times and do not pose a threat to patrons or fellow campers. You are solely responsible for the care and or consequences of your pet. Pets must also adhere to the 11pm quite time. Noisy pets must be moved to a safe place where they cannot be heard from inside the encampment area.
Security: A member of your crew will need to keep watch over your encampment area between the hours of 6pm & 11pm each night, and between the hours 7am & 10am each morning to safeguard against intruders, fire or to warn about approaching foul weather. Armed overnight security will be patrolling the entire festival grounds and may be summoned if their assistance is needed.
Encampment Credentials: Registrants will be issued an ID card which must be carried between the hours of 6pm & 9am to present to security and to access the VIP Tent. Unregistered persons are not permitted within the encampment area after 6pm each night. To help ensure the safety and security of our registered campers, Violators may be removed from the park and charged with criminal trespassing.
Photos or video that you send to us, including those that may be taken of you, your tent/booth, and or your products, works and wares, may be used to promote this and future events by POTTC Events. Usage of such shall be devoid of recompense.
All Registrants will be required to sign a Waiver of Liability prior to setting up camp or engaging in any activities on festival property.
