A thorough examination of each tooth is seldom possible before your pet is anesthetized and the plaque is removed from the tooth. It is only at this time that a proper decision can be made as to the best course of treatment. Extractions and radiography may be necessary for the health of your pet and treatment must be done in a timely manner while your pet is under anesthesia. Every pet will go home with pain medications and/or antibiotics if the doctor deems necessary.
