I can completely understand why you would ask, what is this? Well this is new for me too, so this is still in like a beta version. But let me explain why I even came up with this idea in the first place.

It has always been there, GOMs and reseller who make a lot of profit by resellling or organising a grouporder where they price items higher then they bought it for. And it is normal, I mean I can speak out of experience by saying that it feels like a whole job, so in my eyes it is okay to give yourself a 'salary'. But lately it really bothers me that I see GOMs holding a go for items I saw being sold earlier, but they increased the price by 30$. And no, that was not for the shipping or handling fee, since they still asked for that too in addition to the high price they already asked. So that means they made a profit of 30$ out of just one grouporder. And resellers selling a pre order gift for 100$?? Like people please it was a pre order gift, meaning it was giving for free during the time of the pre-order.

I have been talking to some friends lately and we came up with the idea to make a 'profit counter'. Since I started holding grouporders I have always been trying to be transparent and ask my participants for advice too. Money is still a sensitive topic, but I want to be open about this too as I don't want to be seen as a GOM who is holding grouporders just to earn some money, but I genuinly want to make people happy and help them with their collections.

    How it works:

    Profit

    - I aim to make 2 euro profit out of each grouporder I open per 7/8 cards, for bigger grouporders such as those for albums or packages I aim to make 10 euro profit per 20 orders/items

    Loss

    - Most of the time the rule for interest checks is: when 6 out of 7 / 7 out of 8 items are claimed I will buy the set, meaning that when I buy the set I have a loss the size of the unclaimed card. Ofcourse that loss will disappear once also that card is claimed before the grouporder reaches my place. But if the card still isn't claimed by then, I have to sell the card later on, so the loss will still be applied to the counter. The moment I sold the item I will calculate my loss again, sometimes the item is sold for a lower price then I got it for, so then there will still be a small amount of loss left.

(I hoped this made some sense at all, English is not my first language and I'm still studying it so excuse me for making any grammar mistakes/using the wrong words.)

    For the counters below:

I looked at every secured go post on my account.

Profit counter: I looked up the original price I paid for it and looked at the price I asked, the difference between the two is the profit I made.

Loss counter: I simply looked at all the post and added the prices of every unclaimed but secured item (so I paid for it but nobody claimed it so nobody "paid" me).
