  • Bethel House Training Institute hereafter referred to as BHTI,
    and      *    *    student, SSN#   *   , enter into a legal agreement under which the student agrees to pay tuition and fees as indicated below and adhere to the school’s rules and regulations as set forth in the school catalog. The school will instruct the student in accordance with the current Kansas laws and regulations.

  • BHTI offers the following certificate courses: Certified Nurses Aide, CNA (90 hours), and Certified Nurses Aide Refresher (10 hours), Certified Medication Aide (75 hours), Certified Medication Aide Update (10 hour), and Home Health Aide (20 hours) Phlebotomy (45 hours), Operators (45 hours).

  • Office Hours

  • BHTI is open Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

  • Class Schedule

  • BHTI attempts to meet the schedules of busy working adults. We offer classes during the day, evenings, and weekends. Our courses are short and therefore attendance is mandatory to meet the state attendance requirements. Our CNA/CMA Update is completed in 2 days, HHA is completed in 4 days, Operator is completed in 3 weeks, CNA/CMA are completed in 4-6 weeks, and our Phlebotomy course is completed in 7 weeks. **Class schedule subjec to change due to instuctor availabilty and class size.**

  • Certification

  • At the completion of all required hours of course training, the student will receive a certificate of completion. After successfully passing the State Exam, the student will be certified by the KDADS.

  • Cancellation

  • The student must submit a letter to the school, notifying us of their intent to withdraw from the class or the college after signing the enrollment agreement. BHTI will not cancel classes once they have begun. Please see refund policy if applicable.

  • Method of Payment

  • BHTI accepts cash, money order, Credit Cards, or personal check. We also accept payments from outside sources, including SRS, Unemployment and Scholarships. In addition, we offer a payment plan option. Students may enroll in a class with a down payment of $300. A separate installment agreement will be drawn up.

  • Optional Items/Services to be purchased from other sources

    The student will have the option of obtaining a TB skin test from BHTI or an outside source. BHTI recommends that all students obtain their own health and liability insurance.

  • TB Skin Test

  • All students must receive a TB Skin Test during the CNA class or provide evidence of a negative skin test dated within the prior 6 months for the CMA course. If a student does not have their test read on time, students will be charged an additional $20 for each test given. If a student tests positive for TB it is their responsibility to provide a clean chest X-Ray prior to attending clinicals.

  • Tuition and Fees

  •               

    Fees charged include textbook rental, workbook, BHTI ID, pen, bag, TB test (for CNA), one set of scrubs, and testing fees. Returning students will use the same scrubs from CNA.

    If you miss any of your clinical days and wish to attend them with a different class, that will be at a total cost of $250, regardless of how many make up days you need and subject to our availability. *Effective 1/1/2023

    If you need certain days for make up clinicals, those clinicals hours will be provided at a cost of $30 per hour. Subject to instructor availability.

    No changes can be made to the fee structure or course content after signing the enrollment form and the beginning of each class.

  • Postponement of Start Date

  • BHTI may postpone a class due to unforeseen circumstances including but not limited to extreme weather conditions, insufficient number of students, or date changes made by Kansas Health Occupations Credentialing. A deadline for the new start date or make-up class, beyond which the start date will not be postponed, will be set forth with the involvement of the students. If the course is not commenced or the students are unable to attend by the new start date set forth in the agreement, the students will be entitled to an appropriate refund of prepaid tuition and fees within 30 days of the deadline of the new start date set forth in the agreement, determined in accordance with BHTI’s refund policy.

  • Employment

  • Although career placement services are available, BHTI does not guarantee a job or make an offer of employment to any student or graduate.

  • Completion

  • Students will be required to complete the course requirements, including all class and clinical hours, and payment of fees, by the last day of the course to sit for the state exam.

  • Tuition Refund Policy

  • Payment Plans

    If a student chooses the pay agreement option and fails to withdraw at least 2 weeks prior to the start of class, the $300 down payment is NON-REFUNDABLE. If a student withdraws due to a change in class date, the $300 is REFUNDABLE.

  • Payment in Full Policy

  • If a student withdraws during the first week after entering Bethel House, the institution shall refund at least 90 percent of the tuition, minus $300 administration fee;

    If a student withdraws during the first 25 percent of the enrollment period but following the first week after the student’s entering Bethel House, the institution shall refund at least 55 percent of the tuition, minus a $300 administration fee;

    If a student withdraws during the second 25 percent of the enrollment period, the institution shall refund at least 30 percent of the tuition, minus a $300 administration fee;

    Any monies due to a student shall be refunded within 30 days from the last day of attendance or within 30 days from the receipt of payment if the date of receipt of payment is after the student’s last date of attendance;

    For institutions with programs consisting of fewer than 100 clock hours, refunds may be calculated on an hourly, pro-rata basis;

    In determining the official termination date and percentage of each course completed, the institution may consider the week during which the student last attended to be an entire week of attendance completed.
