In order to be considered as a potential adopter you must:

- Be 21 years of age or older
- Have identification showing your present address
- Have the knowledge and consent of your landlord with either written consent or lease agreement proof if you are renting.
- Be able and willing to provide a loving, safe and stable environment for this pet under the understanding that pets are supposed to be life long commitments.
- Be financially stable and willing to provide any necessary medical care
You will be asked to email or message us pictures of your yard and home, to speed up this adoption process it is best to send those pictures asap upon completing this application, they may be emailed to FTSOBHAdoptions@gmail.com However, SOME of our adoptable pets may require us to visit your home to ensure a good fit and proper introduction for the pet, we will let you know if a home visit is required for the pet you are applying to adopt after reviewing your application but to speed up the adoption process its a good idea to email us pictures of your yard and home directly after submitting this application. *We require a Vet reference, an approved application, a meet and greet at our facility with your family and current dogs, and either a Home visit or submission of pictures for EVERY adoption.*
Pet ownership is a serious responsibility. The policy of this adoption group is to ensure that each person who adopts a pet is aware of the responsibility, and is capable and willing to accept that responsibility morally, physically and financially. We reserve the right to deny applications as we see fit, if the environment/home does not fit the pets individual needs or our standards of longterm stability. Applying to adopt does NOT gaurantee approval.

If your application is denied, it does not mean that you are not considered a good pet owner or that your home is not acceptable. The fee to adopt a dog under 6 months old is $350, the fee to adopt an adult dog is $100, our Kitten adoption fee is $125, and our Adult cat adoption fee is $50. Although we do often have sponsorships that cover adoption fee's for adult pets. All pets have their age appropriate vaccines, deworming, fecal testing, heartworm testing, started on preventatives if age appropriate, and if they are 6+months old they are spay/neutered BEFORE adoption, if they are younger than 6 months old then they are adopted out on a spay/neuter contract.

This application is the first step, we will review it and then contact you to set up a meet and greet if we think your home is a good fit for the pet you are inquiring about. In Most situations, if the meet and greet goes well we are able to finalize the adoption shortly after, allowing adopters to leave with the pet the day they meet. In Some cases though we may have to schedule the adoption finalizing at a later date due to scheduling or medical needs of the pet. We are ONLY able to place an adoption hold on a pet after a successful meet and greet.
