Name of Operator understands Section 4-24-304(2)(b) of the Utah Code and R58-26 allow the department to authorize a custom exempt slaughter facility operator or farm custom slaughter licensee to verify ownership of cattle or calves before slaughter for the owner’s use. Verification of ownership under this program may be in addition to or equivalent to the brand inspection required in Section 4-24-304(1).

• Section 4-24, UCA, Utah Livestock Brand and Anti-Theft Act, Section 304.
