For each nominee please submit:

2. A brief essay explaining why you are nominating this person. (250 words or less) 

3. A list of the nominee’s academic, professional, and public service achievements.

4.  Please close your essay with a few words about how the candidate is related to the ABWHE 2023 Conference: "Forty-Five Years of Reflections: Unlimited Lessons for the Future".

Nominee Requirements:

1. Nominee must be currently employed in or have worked in Higher Education or related fields for at least five (5) years 

2. Preference given to ABWHE Members

Awards and Award Criteria

1. ABWHE Lifetime Achievement Award

Career history: 20 or more years in higher education

Outstanding accomplishments: notable leadership in public service and/or many levels of education

Advancement/Leadership: profound/positive impact on intellectual, social, and emotional development of students Mentorship

Serve as a guide/resource to others Advocacy:provides vision and guidance to others

 

2. ABWHE Outstanding Leader in Higher Education

Must be currently employed in higher education or related field

Experience is extensive and involves public service and higher education or related field.  Career tract describes diverse experiences on many levels of education

Accomplishments include professional memberships and offices, awards, recognition, and or publication(s)

Serves as an advocate and mentor in higher education or related field

 

3. ABWHE Outstanding Chapter Member Award

Involvement in professional and public service organization(s) and/or affiliations

Brief statement of involvement for at least 1 year Chapter specific events, offering dedicated service to the chapter and members

 

4. ABWHE “LIFT AS WE CLIMB” Award 

Involvement in professional and public service organization(s) and/or affiliations

A person dedicated to assisting others achieve and offers assistance, pearls of wisdom, support, encouragement to others
