The Emeryville Community Organic Garden was founded as a 501(c3) nonprofit in 1992. Membership is on first-come, first-serve basis, with priority going to Emeryville residents and Oakland residents living in the 94608 zip code. There are 30 plots assigned to individuals. Everyone pays annual dues and has community responsibilities in addition to caring for one's own plot.
