2024 FHIMA Annual Convention Student Volunteer Information
July 14 - July 17 | Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate
The FHIMA Board of Directors will select one (1) student to receive complimentary registration and hotel accommodations at the FHIMA Annual Convention. The selected student will perform a variety of duties including: introduce speakers, monitor educational sessions, assist presenters, assist at registration, greet attendees and be a runner for the Executive Director, Meeting Planner, & Program Committee. This opportunity is a great way for students to show their commitment as a rising HI professional, get involved, and meet & network with HI professionals.
Qualifications:
- Must be a student in a CAHIIM or AHIMA accredited program
- Must have completed at least six months as a student in the above listed program criteria
- Must be a student member of AHIMA with Florida designated as CA
- Must be available Sunday, July 14th through close of convention on Wednesday, July 17th
- Must be able to provide your own transportation to and from the convention
- Must possess excellent communication skills as demonstrated through an essay on the application
- Must be comfortable speaking in front of large audiences.
- Must be committed to this opportunity if selected

Deadline: Applications must be submitted by Friday, May 31, 2024. Students will be notified via email by June 14th regarding their selection status.
