APPLICATION PROCEDURE
READ THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES IN ITS ENTIRETY.
SPECIAL NOTE:
THIS APPLICATION WILL NEED TO BE COMPLETED IN ONE SESSION. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SAVE WORK AND COMPLETE LATER. BEFORE YOU START, PLEASE HAVE ALL THE NECESSARY INFORMATION READY TO COMPLETE THE APPLICATION.
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION OVERVEIW:
Texas Association, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America has made it easy for members to apply for multiple scholarships with one universal scholarship application! Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit, leadership, participation, and financial need or any combination of these guidelines. Texas FCCLA strives to help as many memebers with scholarships as we can, but we receive more scholarship applications than we have funds to award. No student is guaranteed a scholarship.
If awarded a scholarship, resipients must attend the Texas FCCLA State Leadership Conference held in the spring to accept their scholarship. In the event a recipitent does not attend, the scholarship will be awarded to an alternate.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Pay close attention to the specific materials needed for each scholarship which are detailed on the Texas FCCLA Scholarship page: https://www.texasfccla.org/scholarships. In general, you should be prepared to submit:
- Most recent transcript cleary stating your name, school name, and GPA
- College entry exam scores
- Personal essay(s)
- Letter(s) of recommendation
- Additional material required for specific scholarships such as an academic resume or letter of verification
Applications should be completed in full and returned to the Association, which will carry out the application process, evaluation procedure and determination of recipients of the ten scholarships awarded.
DEADLINE IS FEBRUARY 1, 2025:
All applications must be submitted online with all required documents and signatures by 11:59pm CST on FEBRUARY 1, 2025. No exceptions will be made.

BASIC APPLICANT ELIGIBILITY:
To be eligible a student must:
- Be a resident of the state of Texas
- Be a 2025 graduate of a Texas high school
- Have an overall high school grade average of 85
- Have been an active member of an affiliated chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America for at least one year.
- Have completed one or more years of Family and Consumer Sciences in high school
- Meet entrance requirements of Texas college or university which offers a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences
- Enroll in a Texas accredited college with a Family and Consumer Sciences department in Fall 2025
- MAJOR IN ANY AREA OF FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCES
- Submit one typed copy of the application form, transcript of grades for last grading period, and two letters of recommendation.
- Include test scores of American College Testing (ACT) and/or Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
