As a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, this program will operate both indoors and outdoors throughout the day. This program will feature extensive interactive and hands-on lessons in history/social studies and reading/ELA with a broad outlook on US historical events the first week and a more focused study on the key historical periods of West Virginian History. Students will be challenged in reading and writing techniques, creativity, and historical knowledge through geography bowl competition, “Time Machine Adventure” historical re-enactments, guided group reading, and journaling activities.
