  • About the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Prescott Jewish Summer Camp Scholarship: 

    Jewish summer camps create a sense of community and belonging facilitating a child's spiritual, emotional and physical growth.  It is a fun environment that allows campers to ready themselves for the "real-world", establishing independence, confidence and socialization.

    The Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Prescott provides limited need-based Jewish Summer Camp Scholarships for Jewish children who have a primary residence in Yavapai County to attend Jewish summer camps in the United States.  Programs in Israel do not apply.  Priority funding is given to overnight immersive experiences and day camp assistance will only be given after consideration of overnight camp grants are made.  It is imperative you apply to as many additional funding sources as possible.

    FINANCIAL AID REQUIREMENTS:

    • Requests should be viewed as a "last resort" for families who would otherwise not be able to attend.  Additional awards obtained must be disclosed.
    • Demontrates financial need.
    • Financial assistance will be paid directly to the camp.
    • Children entering in K-12 grade are eligible.  Pre-K does not apply.
    • Camp enrollment will be verified.
    • All campers who receive assistance of any amount are required to write a thank you note and short description of their experience.  These letters will be shared with the donors.

     In submitting this application, I hereby certify the following:

    1.     I am in need of this scholarship aid as set forth in this application. 

    2.     I understand that the JCF will pay the scholarship funds directly to my Jewish Camp. 

    3.     I hereby certify that all of the information I have provided within the entire scholarship application is true and correct to the best of my knowledge. I understand that if any information submitted with the scholarship application is determined to be false or mislead­ing (including any omission of material information), I will be disqualified from consideration for the scholarship.

    Finally, I give consent to allow the JCF use a photograph (or other likeness), as well as personal information about me (family, name, hometown, etc.), or statements for publicity purposes, which may include, but is not limited to, publication in newspapers, brochures, catalogs and the JCF website.
