Love & Paws Rescue is a small volunteer-run dog rescue dedicated to saving the most at-risk dogs in Texas. Fostering means that you commit to housing and caring for one of our rescue dogs until they find a forever home. All dogs being fostered are owned by the rescue and may NOT be independently rehomed, transferred to another home or rescue, or surrendered in any way, shape, or form. All potential adopters for your foster MUST complete the adoption application and screening process we have in place. All of our dogs receive complete medical care, including deworming, vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and microchipping prior to their adoption. We also pay for heartworm treatment and other extensive medical issues for the dogs who need additional care. Fostering with us is free, and we provide anything and everything you need to set you and your foster up for success.

Foster homes are given priority for adopting the foster dog(s) in their care. If you decide that you want to adopt your foster, please reach out to Love & Paws Rescue. Adoption fees for adult dogs (older than one year of age) is $150 and adoption fees for puppies (younger than one year of age) is $200.

I have read and answered the questions on this application thoroughly and honestly. If an omission or untruth in the application is discovered, the foster agreement will be annulled at the time of discovery even if the pet has already been placed in my home.

I understand that my application may be approved, but not for the specific animal that I applied for. I understand that Love & Paws Rescue's mission is to place the animal in the home that is the best fit for them, which may not be my own. I will keep an open mind if the rescue recommends another pet for my home.

I understand that fostering means the dog in my care is not my property to rehome and all communication about potential adopters must go through Love & Paws Rescue.
