Coaches Code of Conduct
Coaches play a crucial role not only on the athletic development of their trainees but also on the social and emotional well-being of their trainees. Aberdeen Snowsports Club recognises the importance of developing and healthy relationship between coaches and trainees in order to foster positive experiences that accumulate in the trainees continuing in the field of Snowsports and achieving their potential.
- All qualifications must be current. Coaches are expected to ensure all qualifications are updated regularly.
- All coaches must have personal insurance.
- All coaches should present themselves on time and in an appropriate manner and appearance. If you are unable to attend a session or if you are running late please message the Head Coach, Coaching Convenor or another member of the committee as far in advance as possible.
- Any photographs or videos taken are only done so with permission and used for the purposes of training and or club social media (as detailed in the agreed Social Media Policy). All videos and photographs will be forwarded to the Head Coach or club email where they will be stored. After training all photographs and videos must be deleted from any personal devices.
- Coaches will make themselves aware of Snowsport Scotland and Aberdeen Snowsports Club Policies including safeguarding, disciplinary and complaints procedures.
- Coaches will not use or tolerate the use of inappropriate language.
- Coaches will be positive role models for all, promoting positive relationships between trainees, parents and coaches.
- Coaches will commit to continual professional development and in their capacity contribute to the development of others through shared knowledge and experiences.
