Teen Behind-the-Wheel Course Registration

Complete the online application to begin enrollment for the behind-the-wheel course.
Welcome to the Teen Behind-the-Wheel Course! This course is the in-car component of the Virginia Driver Education Program. The course is divided into 7 days, and each day is 50 minutes of driving and 50 minutes of observing another student. The road test is administered by the instructor during the final driving period. Completing this course is normally the last step for a juvenile driver to qualify for a driver's license.

Things to Know
1. This online registration requires images or scans of your Virginia learner's permit and driver education certificate.
2. If you completed the classroom component of the Virginia Driver Education Program on or after July 1, 2022, you must have proof of completion of the 90-Minute Parent/Teen Component.
3. You must have at least 30 hours of driving practice on the roadway before beginning this course. A total of 45 hours with at least 15 hours after sunset is required before our school will issue the driver's license.
4. You must have held your permit for at least nine months before the school will issue the driver's license.
