National Shrine of St. Joseph Candles

For over 130 years, visitors to the National Shrine have lit candles symbolizing their prayers and intentions. For those unable to visit the National Shrine in-person, candle offerings are now accepted online for candles to be lit by Shrine Staff for your intention(s). Your intention(s) will also be included as part of our weekly Perpetual Novena in Honor of St. Joseph, offered every Wednesday at the National Shrine since 1888.

An offering of $6 per candle is requested for candle intentions submitted online. Candles (5-day) will be lit within the week submitted or as soon as space allows.
