Introduction

Parents/carers are the first and most important educators of their children. The work at preschool cannot be effective without the support of each child’s parent and or carer.

Please ensure that you are happy with, and understand each point that is sectioned below. It is important that we are both in complete agreement before signing this contract and commencing/continuing childcare for your child.

Hours

These are the hours that you require for Early Years Education and Care at Woodentops. We will hold these hours specifically for your child. It is at your discretion whether you use them. However, as the space is held for your child there will be no reimbursement of hours not used. Normal fee will be required if you are on holiday or your child is not attending because of illness.

The Hourly Rate is £8.80

This is for children who are NOT funded, or those using additional hours to their funded hours. 

Changes to contracted hours should be made through a change of contract notice - this can be by email or written, and a month’s notice period is required.

Termination of Contract

A months’ notice is required for termination of contract. If you remove your child without notice, you will be required to pay 4 weeks fees.

Additional Hours

Additional hours are charged at £8.80 and are available dependant on spaces.

Payment

Payment is expected by the 7th of the month; bills are emailed to you around the 20th of the previous month. If you would like a paper version, please ask. We appreciate prompt payment. Any issues with payment please speak to Karen, Sue or Jackie to discuss help with resolving them.

Payment can be made by cash, cheque, debit/ credit card, via the Famly app or direct credit to Woodentops account.

Funded Sessions for Funded 2-, 3- and 4-Year-Olds.

This table shows the Voluntary contribution fee for Funded Hours which covers additional costs. Providers can charge for snacks and consumables as part of a funded entitlement place. Parents can opt out of paying the Voluntary fee by telling us with a months’ notice.

Opt-Out process

To ensure the smooth operation of Woodentops preschool and continue to make Woodentops a viable business, parents must email with a months notice to inform us that they wish to opt out of paying the voluntary sessional amount that their child has been booked on. 

Parents must then ensure they supply daily

• fruit/vegetables cleaned, cut up, ready to eat and a savoury biscuit for snack in a named pot
• pack of wipes- named
• disposable gloves- named
• water in a named bottle
• nappy sacks
• suncream
• Welly Boots
• Waterproof trousers

All these should be in a named bag that the child can carry themselves, it must come in and go home daily as we have very little storage at Woodentops. 

Punctuality and Attendance

We would appreciate you collecting your child at the correct time. Please text if you are running late.

Woodentops will text parents 30 minutes after their child was due to arrive if they haven’t arrived. If we cannot get in contact with the parents, we will contact Social services at the Integrated Front Door.

Early drop off and late pick ups will be charged at £15.00 per quarter of an hour.

Permissions   

By signing this contract, you give Woodentops permission to take photos of your child.

By signing this contract you are agreeing to pay for the sessional charge when booking and using funded sessions. 

 

 

Articles needed.

Please provide: - nappies if still in nappies; wipes; medication if required; change of clothes, winter clothes-gloves, hats etc.; sunhat and Suncream if you prefer your own; and anything additional you feel your child needs.  ALL NAMED PLEASE

Diarrhoea and Vomiting

Woodentops cannot accept children until 48 hours have elapsed from the last vomiting/diarrhoea episode as per Public Health England Guidance.

Paracetamol and Ibuprofen

Woodentops cannot accept children who have had paracetamol and or ibuprofen prior to coming to a session. We are a well child setting and if your child needs pain relieving medication they are deemed as not well enough to attend.

Child protection

If Woodentops has a concern about a child, we will contact the Integrated Front Door (Social Services) for their advice and support.

Parent Participation

Woodentops has the Famly app to enable good communication with parents so the child gets the best possible Early Years Education.

We also are available by phone, email or face to face to have chats. We keep a record of your child's learning at Woodentops on the famly App which you should have instant access to. 

Parents are encouraged to meet their child's keyworker regularly, just ask for a meeting.

If we have any concerns regarding your child we will request a meeting with you.
