All group visits to the Kentucky Derby Musuem require advanced reservations and pre-payment made as 1 payment. Final payment for a group visits are due 5 business days prior to arrival (10 business days for Backstretch Breakfast tours).

All General Admission visits to the Museum include:

Full access to the Museum, including two floors of family-friendly interactive exhibits
A viewing of our epic film, “The Greatest Race,” a 360°, 18-minute media experience that will make your heart race and emotions soar
Guided Track Visit of Churchill Downs with one of our knowledgeable tour guides. Tour departs hourly 8am-4pm.
Access to our Store and the Derby Café & Bourbon Bar
Please allow 1.5-2 hours for the general admission visit

Begin your day with admission to the Kentucky Derby Museum and end your day at Churchill Downs Racetrack for a thrilling live racing experience! Backstretch Breakfast Workout Tour & Museum General Admission: Start your day on the backside with this 75-minute tour of the track! Experience the thrilling sound of hooves pounding the dirt as horses and jockeys train right in front of you. You’ll see horses gallop past at speeds up to 40 miles per hour. Your guide will share the ins and outs of training world-class Thoroughbreds while you also visit the Churchill Downs Grandstand. Be sure to have your camera ready – seeing these incredible athletes working out beneath the historic Twin Spires™ is a memory you’ll want to hold onto forever. Approximately 2.4 furlongs (.3 miles). Please note: groups must arrive on the backside together in 1 bus. *Breakfast Included in Tour Price. After your backside tour, groups will enjoy Museum General Admission. Hatitude: What's your fashion attitude? Big brim with lots of trimmings or simple and chic? During Hatitude, your guests will create their very own Kentucky Derby hat to take home. We provide the hat, all the ribbons, bows, flowers, and fanfare - you provide the style. 60-minutes \| $25pp		Race Activity/Reindeer Games: Great for corporate outings or groups who LOVE fun! Lucky Shoes: Four-leaf clovers, rabbit's feet, heads-up pennies - all lucky charms for many people. Another common one? The horseshoe! They are thought to bring good luck and protection. Groups can decorate and take home their very own lucky horseshoe! 45-minutes \| $12pp		Mint Julep University: Become an expert on Kentucky's famous drink - the Mint Julep! Learn how to make and drink a Mint Julep while soaking up the history of how this beverage became the Kentucky Derby's signature drink. 60-minutes \| $25pp
Racing Silks: Learn about the history of these colorful "uniforms" while designing your own Jockey Silks ornament or magnet souvenir. 45-minutes \| $10pp		Bourbon Tasting: What do you get when you pour a jigger of Bourbon, add a dash of Thoroughbreds and mix in a Mint Julep cup? Specialty Tours:
Greenhouse Visit: Tour the racetrack’s amazing 12,000-square-foot Horticultural Center and learn first-hand what it takes to keep the grounds beautiful on Kentucky Derby Day and year-round from Churchill Downs Horticulture Director Matt Bizzell. 60-minutes | $19pp
