    Thank you for joining Kids in the Biosphere!


  • Eastern Georgian Bay is a one-of-a-kind landscape. Kids in the Biosphere helps us all to get to know this special place so we can learn to live in balance with nature.

    How it works:

    1. Sign-up online (you're here!)
    2. Receive one free Activity Kit. You can pick it up from a volunteer near you, or from the Biosphere or Township of The Archipelago office in Parry Sound. 
    3. Throughout the summer, check out the blog and keep up to date with our fun emails.
    4. Complete activities and keep track on your Summer Scorecard (optional).
    5. At the end of the summer, or when you've completed as many activities as possible, email us a picture of your Scorecard (optional). You can then pick up your prize! 

    All addresses, names, and other information collected in these forms is for internal use only and will never be shared.

  • Please note that the kits are limited to one kit per family. This allows us to reach more families!

  • Optional. You may wish to include your child(ren)'s name so we can better tailor communications.

  • Township of the Archipelago Address

    This program is offered in partnership with the Township of the Archipelago. Please indicate your 911 Civic Address within the Township of the Archipelago.

  • Examples: 1 A1000 Island, Bayfield-Nares; 1234 Georgian Bay Water, Sans Souci-Copperhead

    Select your property on https://www.wpsgn.ca/im/ to find your Civic Address & Neighbourhood.

  • Activity Kit Pick Up

  • There are three ways to receive your Activity Kit!

    1. You can pick up your kit from the Biosphere office, 125 William Street in Parry Sound, on specified days.
    2. You can pick up your kit from the Township of The Archipelago office, 9 James Street in Parry sound, on specified days.
    3. You can select the area you would like to pick up from and then contact the nearest volunteer or visit a nearby marina. 

  • You have selected to pick up your Activity Kit from the Biosphere office.

    The Biosphere's address is: 125 William St, Parry Sound, ON P2A 1T4

    You can drop by anytime Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. to pick up your Activity Kit.

    Please email kids@georgianbaybiosphere.com if you have any questions about picking up your kit.

  • You have selected to pick up your Activity Kit from the Township of The Archipelago office.

    The Township's address is: 9 James St, Parry Sound, ON P2A 1T4

    You can drop by to pick up your Activity Kit anytime Monday to Friday, between 8:30 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

  • You have selected to pick up your Activity Kit from a local volunteer.

  • You have selected to pick up your Activity Kit in Pointe au Baril.

    You can pick up your kit from Desmasdon's Boat Works at 18 Desmasdon's Rd, Pointe au Baril, ON P0G 1K0

    OR Beacon Marine at 60 S Shore Rd, Pointe au Baril, ON P0G 1K0

    OR Payne Marine at 59 Payne's Rd, Pointe au Baril, ON P0G 1K0

    You can drop by anytime to pick up your Activity Kit during the below hours:

    May 16th - June 27th
    Monday to Saturday: 8AM to 5PM
    Sundays: 9AM - 6PM 

    June 28th - August 30th
    Monday to Friday: 8AM - 8PM
    Saturday: 8AM-5PM
    Sunday: 9AM-3PM

  • You have selected to pick up your Activity Kit from South Channel Association.

    Please contact the South Channel Association volunteer, Matt Reiter, at mreiterb717@gmail.com to arrange a time to pick up your kit from the pick up location. The volunteer will provide you with the address for pick-up.

  • You have selected to pick up your Activity Kit in Healey Lake.

    You can pick up your kit from Mariner's Cove Marina at 317 Healey Lake Rd, MacTier, ON P0C 1H0

    You can drop by anytime Monday to Saturday 8:30 am - 5 pm or Sunday 10 am - 5 pm to pick up your Activity Kit.

    Please call Mariner's Cove at (705) 375-2097 or email kids@georgianbaybiosphere.com if you have any questions about picking up your kit.

  • You have selected to pick up your Activity Kit in San Souci.

    Please contact the San Souci volunteer, Tom Denune, at tdenune2@gmail.com to arrange a time to pick up your kit from the pick up location. The volunteer will provide you with the address for pick-up.

  • You have selected to pick up your Activity Kit in Woods Bay.

    Please contact the Woods Bay volunteer, Julia Webster, at juliawebster@live.ca or (647) 899-8850 to arrange a time to pick up your kit from the pick up location. The volunteer will provide you with the address for pick-up.
