COMMITTEE CONSENT FORM 2024-25

AIM OF THE COMMITTEES:

Health & Safety Committee

Ensure standardized safe operations in the amusement industry across the MENA region. The Committee collaborates with Government & Regulatory Bodies, advises our members, and strives to achieve the highest safety standards for guests and employees.

Key initiatives of this committee include the development of the Minimum Standards Playbook, a comprehensive reference book offering up-to-date advice on venue safety. The Committee also conducts safety-focused webinars, and educational sessions, contribute the "Safety Talk" article to the MENALAC newsletter, and facilitate knowledge sharing at networking events.

Manufacturer & Suppliers Committee

Dedicated to representing our manufacturer & supplier members, this committee works to elevate their profile within the industry. The Committee collaborates with local authorities throughout the MENA region, facilitating the sharing of information and providing clarity on government requirements for our members.

The M&S Committee actively contributes to our newsletters and press-releases articles, featuring the popular "Vendor Talk" article. Authored by our esteemed S&M members, each article offers valuable insights and perspectives.

Events Committee

Our Events Committee is focused on creating events that serve in the best interest of our members. With the aim of all our events being a good balance of options for our members to participate in such as Conferences, In Country Focus Events, Educational Webinars and of course our highly acclaimed Awards Gala.

We encourage our members to actively take part in the events our committee deliver to take advantage of the multiple opportunities provided for them to raise the profile of the brands, take part in knowledge sharing, be part of excellent networking opportunities and ensure they are seen at the only event the MENA region offers for recognition of achievements and new products this being the MENALAC Awards Gala.

Membership Committee

Our Membership Committee are the key to forward planning and developing new ideas and incentives for the continued development and growth of our association membership pool. This committee is focused on improving member benefits, communicating with prospective members and helping them to understand how they will gain by becoming members and they are also active in supporting MENALAC to manage our aims in continually offering more support and opportunities for introductions to key players in the market for all our members.

I confirm that I understand that by ticking each box I am consenting to take part, support and contribute as a member of this committee. I further understand and accept that as a volunteer on this committee I may need to work in my own private time to help the development of projects and deliverables and I commit to ensuring that my involvement will help the growth of MENALAC for both its members and to further strengthen its standing in the wider Leisure and Attractions Community.

Herewith below, I confirm that I will:*

1. Promote the institutionalization of following best practices/procedures and professional conduct within my sector by advising & liaising with MENALAC or third parties as required.2. Helping members achieve highest operating, safety, customer service or other standards via knowledge sharing and training initiatives of the Committee.3. Commit to attend all committee meetings (these will be no less than one per quarter or could be up to 6 per year).4. Contribute written or thought articles wherever possible and when requested (for use in MENALAC’s newsletter and social media).5. Take part/participate in events/webinars or networking events on behalf of MENALAC from time to time and when requested.6. I further understand, accept and acknowledge that failure to attend two consecutive meetings without a justification acceptable to the Director General or the Head of the Committee shall be deemed an immediate resignation. In any such instance my position will be replaced no later than at the next/subsequent meeting to the final one that I have missed.
