  • AGREEMENT DETAILS:
*The buyer agrees to take the puppy to the veterinarian of their choice at their own expense within 4 days after acquiring the puppy from the breeder. If satisfied with the veterinarian's report, buyer agrees to retain possession and thereafter hold the breeder harmless and NOT liable for any further medical condition of said animal.

IF NOT SATISFIED the animal is to be returned to the breeder at the buyer's expense within (5) days of the examination. Record of this visit is to be emailed or text to Calderhead's Giant Schnauzers within 7 days of obtaining the said puppy or contract becomes void.

*Annual veterinarian visits for the upkeep and care of said dog with Regular deworming, heartworm prevention and either vaccinations or titer testing are required to uphold this health guarantee.

    • The breeder does not guarantee any health related issues or loss of life due to reactions caused by vaccinations or flea and tick preparations administered either orally or on the skin.
    • NO LEPTO Vaccination should be given to the puppy as the side effects could be deadly and outweigh the benets. Giving the Lepto vaccination will void the Health Guarantee! Reports Show that Dogs Are Dying From Lepto Vaccine! If you are in a Lepto prone area , this can be discussed prior to signing this
      agreement!

Recommendations: It is recommended that vaccines be given no closer than 4 weeks apart and that Rabies Vaccine NOT be given at the same time as any other vaccine. We highly recommend titer testing before vaccinations are given.

    • The breeder has taken every reasonable precaution to ensure the physical soundness and temperament of the animal, including that its sire and dam have no known hereditary defects.
Calderhead’s Rosey May is an HUU carrier but was bred to a clear stud so her offspring will not have HUU symptoms.
    • Buyer understands that Breeder has instructed Buyer not to take the puppy to public places (including parks, neighbors, Petsmart, groomers, puppy classes, etc.) until the puppy has received his/her final puppy inoculations which is 12 to 16 weeks of age. The Buyer must protect the puppy and avoid contact with areas where infected or un-vaccinated dogs may have been or may be present with diseases such as PARVO, DISTEMPER, ETC. This requirement is to protect the puppy and this could save the puppy’s life. Any illness contracted from Buyer’s decision not to follow these guidelines will void this contract. Buyer has the right to communicate with the Breeders Veterinarian at anytime and vice versa.

    * If a puppy has serious life threatening genetic defect that affects her/ his life as a PET (before 1 year of age) as determined by the breeder and two unbiased veterinarians, buyer has 2 choices:

    1. Return the puppy with vet papers stating said health issues immediately in 24 -48 hours from the last vet office visit and get a full refund.
    2. Keep the puppy, and the breeder will refund half of the paid price. In this case, the breeder WILL NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY of any vet cost.
    • If euthanasia is recommended by a veterinarian for ANY REASON, the breeder must be notied and A 2nd veterinary opinion obtained (by a veterinarian of the breeders choosing) PRIOR to the dog being put to sleep, OR THE REPLACEMENT POLICY WILL NOT APPLY. If the breeder gives permission for euthanasia, a euthanasia certicate, full veterinary report and a post mortem report will be required. The breeder will not be responsible for any veterinary bills relating to this dog after the date of sale.
    • Breeder makes no warranty against Coccidiosis, Giardia, intestinal parasites, fleas, ear mites, toe cancer or non genetic illnesses. There is no guarantee as to the disposition, life span, color, show quality, or breeding quality of any puppy.
    • In the event of the animal's death within the First year for unknown causes, the puppy will be taken to a veterinarian for a necropsy. If death is proven to be due to a genetic illness within 1 year of its birth, the dog will be replaced with another pup of equal value when available. All above claims will only be honored with written documentation from a licensed veterinarian.

THE BREEDER HAS THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THIS CONTRACT AND REFUND THE DEPOSIT IF THEY FEEL IT IS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE PUPPY.

If you change your mind about getting a puppy after a Deposit is made, it can be transferred to another litter otherwise it is non refundable

    • The buyer agrees to never sell or give this dog to anyone, without prior permission of the breeder. The breeder retains FIRST right of refusal should the buyer no longer wish to keep this dog. If this puppy/dog no longer fits into your life you are required to notify Calderhead’s Giant Schnauzers immediately ,the A.K.C. papers that are registered to the owner must be signed back to the breeder and we will place the puppy in a forever home, or a temporary home until an appropriate forever home can be found. Of course, if you have a suitable home selected we will allow that, but we want to be informed that all precautions are in place to ensure that the home is suitable, not just convenient.
