Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Second Chances Wildlife Center. It is very important for you to know that the animals depend on you to uphold your committed volunteer times. You must committ to at least six months for our Animal Care Team before we will train you. It just takes a while to get folks trained. There is a lot to learn. Please be respectful of this as we will invest in you long term.

If you have very limited time and can not commit to a regular schedule, there are still other ways you can help! Some of these ways follow: property assistance (mowing, weeding, mulching), picking up animals and transporting them, cage construction.

Volunteering does not mean playing with wild animals. There is minimal animal contact and there is a potential for bites, diseases, and parasites. Only serious, dedicated people need apply.
