OutLine is making some updates to our constitution to make sure it’s up to date, clear and consistent. This involves lots of small, relatively minor changes. Since we don’t want to spend all our time at the AGM on this, we’re sending this out for feedback from members now. This will allow us to consider any suggestions and address any questions ahead of sending out a finalised set of proposed changes before the AGM.
This process is about bringing the constitution up to speed and is not a full review - specifically it does not include any significant change to the organisation’s purposes/objects or governance structure, including around enabling responsiveness to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. However, there is an opportunity below to offer any ideas about any wider, more substantive changes that come up, and there will also be future opportunities to feed into this conversation as we address this over the next few years.
Please see this document for the proposed changed constitution and this document for more explanation of the purpose and scope of these changes, and detail of the specific proposed changes.
