Eligibility for A Level Study
Students should have passed the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) or equivalent examination in order to be eligible for A Level study. Students who have scored grade B in English, Science, C. Maths (Plus Optional Maths for Science stream applicants) in the school’s internal SEE qualifying/Class X annual examinations are eligible to apply for A Level in Science and Non-science streams.
Admission is granted to shortlisted students after entrance examination and interview on condition that a copy of the SEE mark-sheet, along with the character certificate, is submitted to the college office within the first week from the date of the publication of the SEE results, failing which admission will be cancelled, and the amount deposited during admission will be forfeited.
- Copies of the following documents must be submitted at the time of submission of the completed application form.
- Final term exam marksheet of grade IX and latest exam marksheet of grade X.
- Two recent passport size coloured photographs.
- Certificates of awards or scholarships earned at school, if any.
- Migration Certificate (Applicable for the students from boards other than SEE).
- A sealed recommendation letter from the principal/ vice principal or a teacher of the school last attended (can also be submitted via email directly to info@gihe.edu.np addressed to the Coordinator).
Note: Once the student is admitted to the College, admission fees, including annual fees, will not be refunded in case of cancellation or withdrawl of the admission.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
- Admission must be completed within the stipulated time mentioned, failing which seats will be offered to candidates on the waiting list.
- Management may ask students at any point in time to bring original transcripts for verification. Therefore, students are strongly advised to keep all original certificates ready for authentication as and when demanded, possibly even after admission.
- It is at the Institution’s discretion to disqualify an applicant for not submitting the required documents on time or for providing false information.
- Supporting documents and information provided in the application form play an important role in the selection process for your admission at GEMS. We analyze your academic background, potential, achievements and credentials, and your careerplans from your application form. Hence, please provide detailed information about yourself and your academic background. Your application shall be thoroughly scrutinized, and the decision regarding your admission shall be made on the information provided by you.
- The decision of the admission committee regarding all matters of admission is final and can not bedisputed.
