Though we try to process applications quickly within 48 hours, processing can take up to 5-7 days. Please be patient with processing; we are a small, volunteer-run rescue. We will reach out to you as soon as we can. If you wish to withdraw your application or you adopt another animal while your application is being processed, please let us know.

Please note that submitting this application does not mean you are commiting to a specific cat, nor does it guarantee you will get that cat. Rather, it is simply a tool we use to help both you and us identify a good potential match for your family and lifestyle. There are no right or wrong answers when filling this application out. It is only a guide to to help ensure the adoptive family and cat will be a forever match.

A successful adoption depends on selecting the right cat for your household and a good understanding of the cat's needs and care requirements. Please help us with this process by answering the following questions fully & completely.

Please notify your veterinarian(s) that you give permission for a Taylor Co SPCA representative to speak with them about your pets (present or past).

Taylor Co SPCA attempts to give an honest evaluation of any cat based on our assessment or that of the source. Should you encounter any behavioral concerns, please contact us so we are able to work together to resolve the issues.

All cats are non-transferrable. We adhere to a strict INDOOR ONLY and NO DECLAWING policy. All applications are evaluated without bias. We evaluate based on the needs of the cat. Applications are not guarantee of acceptance. Any falsehoods will be automatic disqualification.

I agree to allow a representative from Taylor Co SPCA to conduct a home visit prior to adopting this cat. If I am approved to adopt a cat, I agree to pay a non-refundable adoption fee and hand sign an adoption contract at the time of adoption.

I understand that all cats adopted from Taylor Co SPCA will be spayed/neutered, up to date on necessary shots, wormed and given flea/tick treatment prior to adoption.

Taylor Co SPCA reserves the right to reject any application based on information obtained during this screening process.
