  • Fees and times are arranged between the student and Ardent Academy. Private tutoring will take place during a tutor’s regularly scheduled shift at Ardent Academy. There is no trial session.

  • Scheduling Sessions

    To ensure that PARENT/GUARDIAN’s time is respected, as well as the time of TUTOR’s other students, appointments will begin promptly at their scheduled time regardless of the time of STUDENT’s arrival. No adjustment to fees shall be made for time lost because of late arrival by the STUDENT or by early termination of session by the STUDENT. (e.g. If STUDENT is 10 minutes late, we will be unable to extend STUDENT’s appointment.)
  • Cancellations

    Cancellation of a session, for any reason, must be received by Ardent Academy via phone call or e-mail to Care@ArdentAcademy.com at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled session. Tutor will acknowledge the cancellation and the time it was received. Sessions will not be rescheduled for STUDENT cancelling less than 24 hours in advance of a session. If 24-hour notice is provided, STUDENT is allowed one make-up session per agreement. If TUTOR cancels the session, TUTOR will find a substitute or reschedule. There will be no creditor refund for any cancellation.
  • Obligation of the Tutor and Student

  • • The TUTOR structures sessions to optimize time to benefit the student.
    • The TUTOR shall keep the students’ information confidential. The TUTOR shall contact other parties
    involved in the education of the student only if given verbal permission by the PARENT/GUARDIAN to do
    so.
    • The STUDENT shall assist the TUTOR in identifying problem areas in which the student needs specific
    tutoring.
    • The STUDENT agrees to be prepared for each session and to provide his or her own materials needed for
    each tutoring session (e.g. books, notes, calculator, paper, other relevant study material, etc.).

  • No Warranties

    While the TUTOR is confident in his or her skills and teaching ability, the TUTOR makes no promises or warranties with regards to a STUDENT’s performance as a result of any tutoring provided.
  • Payment Refunds

    All payments received are non-refundable for any reason.
  • Session Recoding

    All tutoring sessions will be recorded for quality assurance.
  • Entire Agreement of the Parties

    This agreement supersedes any and all agreements, either oral or written, between the parties with respect to the rendering of services by TUTOR and contains all of the representations, covenants and agreements between the parties with respect to the rendering of those services. Any modification of this agreement will be effective only if it is in writing signed by all parties.
  • Non-Poaching

    Both parties (Parent/Guardian/Student and Tutor) acknowledge and agree that each will not entice away or endeavor to entice away from the other party. Each party acknowledges that the prohibition and restriction contained in this clause are reasonable in the circumstances and necessary to protect.
