Participant Agreement

Please read and sign your initials to agree to our conditions.

I hereby give The Open Studios Press permission to reproduce images of my artwork in conjunction with the production and marketing of the publication, Studio Visit Magazine, and for general marketing and publicity of The Open Studios Press. All other rights in and to the original works I specifically retain (including full copyright). I fully release The Open Studios Press from any and all claims, causes of action and/or damages which may arise by the unauthorized reproduction of works herein.

I understand that the following two milestones are critical to Studio Visit Magazine’s production process and that the deadlines to be provided must be adhered to ensure my inclusion in the publication.

•  Completion and submission of Image and Text Materials Submission Form
•  Response to Factchecks Form

I understand that if for any reason I do not receive the email to upload my images, or to submit my Factcheck, I can access these pages via the Production Updates section of studiovisitmagazine.com.

I understand that the production timeline of Studio Visit Magazine relies on my ability to submit my materials within the required timeline. I agree to submit my materials according to the deadlines and understand that if I do not, The Open Studios Press has the right to print the upcoming volume of Studio Visit Magazine without the inclusion of my materials.

I will review the Image Requirements available online and submit files to specification. If I am unable to submit files in CMYK color profile, I understand that The Open Studios Press is not responsible for any major shifts in color and contrast caused by conversion of files from one color-space to another. I understand that The Open Studios Press has quality standards for the images included within Studio Visit Magazine, and my images may be subject to mild edits which withhold these quality standards. These edits will only affect the background of my images—or the “wall” on which my artwork is hanging within the photograph to be published.

I understand that the opportunity to Factcheck my information is the only ‘copyediting’ my page(s) will undergo before publication. If I am unresponsive to the request for my Factcheck, I understand The Open Studios Press reserves the right to move forward with the production timeline without my completed Factcheck Confirmation Form.

I understand that this publication has a projected timeline of 6-9 months from deadline of submission of materials to print and release. I understand that delays in production are a possibility, and that a refund in my name cannot be processed after the first stage in the production process, during which all names and pages are set for print.

If you would like to purchase more pages, please go back and choose the payment form corresponding to the number of pages you'd like. Once you have completed this form, you will not be able to add pages to your submission.

Please also use this opportunity to indicate how many extra issues of the book you would like to receive, in addition to your complimentary copy.

All artists will have an opportunity to purchase additional copies once the Volumes are printed, though a limited quantity will be available.
