  • Excursion to Nieuwe Ronde

Sun 13th June, 16:00-18:00, Location: Nieuwe Ronde - Oude Diedenweg (next to nr. 108) Wageningen)
  • The fields of De Nieuwe Ronde are located at 2 beautiful locations on the Wageningse Eng: on the Oude Diedenweg, against the forest edge of Wageningen-Hoog (run by horticulturist Klaas Nijhof) and on the Honingblokpad (run by horticulturist Pieter Lammerts). The fields are maintained by Klaas and Pieter, assisted by members and volunteers. They do this according to the guidelines of organic farming: no fertilizers, no pesticides (at all) and taking into account as much as possible what naturally grows and blooms.

From spring until well into winter, an abundance of vegetables, berries, strawberries and herbs grows on the fields of De Nieuwe Ronde. All subscribers to De Nieuwe Ronde can reap what they think they need on a daily basis.

But De Nieuwe Ronde is much more than a field with vegetables. Away from the crowds and stress and yet close to the city, this is a place to enjoy. Harvesting vegetables yourself is an experience for children, young people and adult
