NYU Public Safety Lab: Jail Data Initiative Data Use Agreement

We ask that parties requesting data from the Jail Data Initiative: (a) identify the individual and organization requesting the data; (b) provide contact information; (c) provide a brief description of the purposes for which the data will be used; (d) provide a brief description of potential risks and benefits to those individuals identified in the data; and (e) certify that if the request is approved, recipients (i) will not share the data with any third parties without written permission of the NYU Public Safety Lab, (ii) will not publish any information identifying incarcerated individuals from the Jail Data Initiative's individual-level data, and (iii) will cite the NYU Public Safety Lab Jail Data Initiative in any public documents that utilize data produced by the Jail Data Initiative.
