Crossing Borders through Conversation Volunteer Interest Form
Thank you for your interest in serving as a workshop facilitator with Children Beyond Our Borders. In years past, the Bound for Peace program has served as a platform for undergraduate students from the US to travel to Colombia and host educational workshops for youth (ages 6-18).

In response to the pandemic, we transitioned our workshops to a virtual format in 2020. Across three months last summer, we were able to host over 50 workshops for over 1,600 students! We also developed a formal paternship with the University of Córdoba in Montería, and we have continued to host conversation sessions with their university students on a monthly basis.

Because of the success of the success of this idea, we decided to create Crossing Borders through Conversation. English conversation workshops for k-12 students, English teachers from public schools in Colombia and Colombian college students.

Workshop facilitators will need to attend a short training session before the workshops in order to review the pre-developed curriculum.
