Completing this application is a step in the process to acquiring a puppy from Rainessence Belgian Malinois, but it does not guarantee I'll get a puppy from this or any future litter. While it's unlikely, the breeder reserves the right to refuse any placement at any time. APPROVAL AND DEPOSIT: Applications will be reviewed within 2 business days of receipt. Applications are processed in the order they are received. When puppies are born, we will determine if your home is a good fit and you'll be notified. We breed infrequently, so we will only accept deposits when puppies are actually available. During pregnancy, approved homes will receive a link to make a nominal commitment deposit on a puppy, and links will be sent out in the order approved applications were received. After pups are born, they are assessed and when possible, puppies can then be available for placement. If you are a match, you will receive a notification with a request for a deposit to hold your puppy. Please make this deposit within 48 hours of the approval e-mail. If you make a deposit, you are committing to take a puppy from the litter, regardless of whether your gender/color preference is available. YOUR PICK OF PUPPY: Puppies will be assigned based upon family situation, goals for your dog and puppy drives and personality. Every effort is given to make a successful match and meet expectations. Please ask any questions. GOING HOME: We cannot hold puppies for extended times; it is critical for their social development that the litter departs within a reasonable timeframe. If you have a big vacation planned or have events that would conflict with a young puppy, please understand puppies cannot be boarded in a kennel until they have received their full immunizations and their rabies vaccination which cannot be done until 4 months of age. Talk with us and we will figure it out. CONTRACT: We do have a contract and will not place a puppy without a signed contract. We believe it's the professional thing to do to memorialize our obligations to each other on paper so there are no questions later, and for that reason it's a bit lengthy. If you have questions about specific terms, you need to contact us prior to picking up your puppy. SPAY/NEUTER: We prefer you do not spay/neuter unless purchased as a pet, and if so, not before 18 months. REGISTRATION PAPERS: Your puppy will be registered in your name with AKC and you will receive full AKC registration, unless it is determined that your dog is a pet and you do not intend to show or breed.
