    The booking form includes essential information to participate in a physical exercise program at Taekwondo4Fitness. Nobody can train without it! It takes just a few minutes to complete it.

    Taekwondo Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire

  • The questionnaire below is required before participating in a physical exercise programme at Taekwondo4Fitness!

  • Please read the following essential health questions and tick them appropriately.

  • If you have answered yes to any question above, before a physical activity program or Taekwondo training can begin, you must seek advice and get a letter from your doctor stating that you can participate in physical activity. You must give this form to the instructor/coach before any training can begin.

  • You take part in all physical activity and Taekwondo programs at your own risk.

  • If your circumstances change and affect your health or well-being when carrying out any physical activity, you must inform your instructor/coach.

  • Venue-based classes will be explained on the next page!

    For virtual classes, participants will be invited and accepted to join with a user name and password.

    These sessions are not available to anyone, only for members registered within the club who participate in an online physical activity program.

    The sessions will be delivered via live broadcast or broadcast of pre-recorded material.

  • Safety note for every session

    • By participating, members are doing so at their own risk.
    • A suitable, non-slip floor area is required covering at least 2m x 2m (preferred 3m x 3m) to prevent injury.
    • All potential obstacles in the vicinity are removed before members can participate.
    • No use of blades, weapons, or sharp instruments of any description is allowed at any time.
    • Everyone should be aware of their ability and listen to their body to ensure the training is happening safely.
    • Avoid physical contact with other participants.
    • Avoid activities if you have, or suspect you may have any current health concerns, injuries, aches, and pains.
    • The live sessions are light physical exercise training only, with the following outline principles:

    Do’s

    • All exercises and training to be done individually
    • General, light warm-up exercises on the spot
    • Static stretching and limited dynamic stretching on the spot
    • Fun and straightforward generic exercise routines
    • Slow or simple hand movements (e.g., blocking and striking actions)
    • Kicking exercises below hip level
       
       

    Don’t’ s

    • No contact activity between two or more people whatsoever
    • No kicking exercises over hip level
    • No more than two combinations of technique
    • Spinning movements
    • Heavy or endurance exercises
    • Anything with weight equipment
    • Resistance training
  • Physical Classes

    Physical classes at a venue

  • Coronavirus remains a serious health risk. To keep the Taekwondo4Fitness team and their members safe, you should stay cautious to help protect yourself and others from catching the virus. Please check the government website for more info here.

     

    If you develop the classic symptoms like fever, cough, shortness of breath, and loss of smell or taste or the newer set, like headache, running nose, and sneezing, consider taking a COVID-19 test even if you are vaccinated!

     

    • Please do not attend if you have any COVID-19 symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive in the last ten days.
    • We encourage all members to take regular lateral flow tests out of respect to other students and the instructor to ensure you are not unknowingly spreading the virus.
    • Non-essential visitors will not be permitted to enter the dojang.
    • Members are not permitted to use changing facilities and are advised to wear a dobok or training clothes before entering the dojang.
    • You must self-isolate in line with Government guidelines if you or someone in your household is showing symptoms.
    • A hand cleaning station will be available after entering the training hall.
    • You are encouraged to bring your hand sanitiser and disinfect your hands when entering and leaving the dojang.
    • Numbers attending training should be kept as low as possible to limit the spread of COVID-19.
    • Vulnerable staff or members have to follow social distancing measures stringently.
    • Should you wish to maintain social distancing, please let the instructor know before attending any class.
