RPAYC Changes to the Special Regulations.

Relevant for Category 1, 2 and 3+ offshore yacht races.

Special Regulation 3.25.1(ii): A boat shall carry a satellite phone on board. The satellite phone shall have a voice and data plan for coverage for the duration of the race and have the ability to be connected to main power or have a spare charged battery.

Confirm the above satellite phone complies with the Changes to Special Regulation 3.25.1(ii) including voice and data plan for coverage for the duration of the race/s as detailed above.Should the unit be portable, I confirm that I am aware of the responsibility to check the unit for messages every two hours and confirm that I understand the requirements of the Race Committee being able to contact the vessel at any time.
