IMANEE'S MISSION
I.M.A.N.E.E. is a catalyst for Black girl elevation and empowerment. We strive to serve as the intersection of Black girl excellence, healing, and visibility. Through community programming, workshops, and mentorships encourage girls and gender expansive youth to embrace their wholistic excellence, unapologetically.
BOARD OF DIRECTOR'S PURPOSE
I.M.A.N.E.E.'s Board of Directors is responsible for determining the organization goals, policy, and approving the annual budget. As a group and individually, members of the Board are legally and morally responsible for all activities of the organization. The Board of Directors advocates for I.M.A.N.E.E., expands philanthropic opportunities, and enhances the local and national visibility of the organization.
EXPECTATIONS
- Serve on the board for a renewable two year term.
- Provide advice, counsel, and expertise to I.M.A.N.E.E. leadership to achieve
organizational priorities.
- Facilitate introductions to individuals or organizations who can also assist with underwriting programs and donating unrestricted funds for innovation.
- Promote I.M.A.N.E.E. programs whenever possible to outlets approved by leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES & CONTRIBUTIONS
- Combined financial commitment of $5,000 during your term or the facilitation of an equivalent commitment from a public or private entity, including federal agencies, private foundations, corporations or individuals.
- Attendance at least four (4) board meetings of six (6) per year, remotely or in person.
- Availability to attend philanthropic or promotional events on behalf of I.M.A.N.E.E.
- Promotion of I.M.A.N.E.E.’s mission to personal and professional networks.
ESTIMATED TIME REQUIREMENTS
Active Board Participation: Two to four hours bi-monthly. This includes attending board, committee, reviewing agenda packets prior to meetings, and making essential communications via mailing and/or phone calls. An additional two hours may be required if serving as chairperson for any Board committee.
