    School Year 2021-2022 Our mission in Life Teen is to lead teens closer to Christ. We have been able to do this at St. Thomas the Apostle over the past twenty years because of Catholic adults responding to their baptismal call and serving our teens as Core members. Very simply, a Core member's job is to share Jesus Christ with teens. You don't have to be an expert on scripture and you don't need to have a theology degree. Your responsibility is to love teens and show them that they are loved by God.

    Please respond to the following questions in complete sentences. The purpose of these questions are so that we can get to know you on a more personal basis and on different levels. Rest assured that all information will be held in strict confidence by our Life Teen/Faith Formation Staff.

  • Lifestyle becuase of My Commitment

    As Core Members of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, we are called to live a Christ-like life. In order to uphold the intregrity of what this statement represents, there are several sacrifices that I will have to make to my everday lifestyle. They are outlined below and they stem from our love for God and our desire to serve teens:

  • I,*, am honored to respond to my baptismal call by serving the youth of St. Thomas the Apostle through Life Teen. This ministry is Eucharistic-centered and relational. In order to respond fully, I understand that joining Core involves commiting to four things: Holiness, Teens, Core, and Life Teen.

    ***Your responsibilites as a Core Member will challenge you. Our teens need for us to be the best that we can be as they face their own challeneges. How we respond to struggles and resistence will have significant impressions on our teens. Your joy will show our teens that they have worth and will inspire them to respond to their own difficulties and struggles with joy.

  • The information contained in this application is correct to the best of my knowledge. I, the undersigned, give my authorization to release any and all records or information relating to working with minors.  I understand that the personal information in this application will be held confidential by the professional parish staff. 

    This form is for the use of the parish youth ministry staff. It will also be necessary for you to complete the diocesan volunteer application, along with all forms and protocols necessary for background checks and participate in the required diocesan safe environment training, if not done so. All forms and class times will be provided for you.
