• 2022 Manjimup Bluegrass & OldTime Music JamCamp Weekend

To register for the Manjimup Bluegrass & OldTime Music Weekend, 23rd-26th September, please complete the form below. EACH PERSON planning to participate needs to complete this form. We will have two tutors visiting from Victoria for the long weekend: Craig Woodward, fiddle and Thomas Kendall, guitar, and Jeremy Marcotte, claw hammer banjo will be flying in from Tasmania. Ian Simpson, banjo and Adam Gare, mandolin, will drive down from Perth.
  • There will be group instrument classes and tutor lead OldTime and Bluegrass jams, both slow jams and not so slow jams. To enjoy yourself and to get the most out of working with these fantastic tutors all participants will need to be familiar with their instrument/s and as a minimum requirement, be able to strum and change chords C, G, D, A.

Fiddlers will need to be able to play basic scales, ie. C, G, D, A and be able to play a few basic tunes/melodies and be able to follow basic songs when played slowly.

Even if you have never played oldtime or bluegrass, as long as you can meet this level of playing you'll have a great time.

Nb: any five string banjo will be suitable for the weekend workshops.

Beginners: unfortunately we will not be able to cater for beginners during the 2022 with the exception of banjo.  If there is sufficient interest, there will be a special instrument class for players new to banjo. Please let your friends and students know.
