  • Oppressive education structures and how to overcome them - Panel Discussion (Offline registration)

Sun 13th June, 16:00-18:00, Location: Ppauw - Wildgraaf, 6704 PA Wageningen
  • In this panel discussion we would like to hear different ideas about the way western education and research is rooted within colonial and patriarchal structures. And the connection with how this shape the framing of problems and solutions in our food systems. Next to this, we would also discuss possible pathways to overcome these issues.
We chose to have speakers who relate to education and research in different ways and have different methods to change it. The session will be also interactive with the audience online and offline in order to explore possibilities on how to make our education about food systems more inclusive, diverse and fair.

Speakers: David Ludwig (professor and researcher at WUR), Solina Dialo (student and activist), Louise Vercruysse (grassroot education/boerengroep), Pablo Van Neste (ecoliteracy).
