Congratulations on your acceptance into the University of Toronto, and thank you for your interest in the St. Mike's Mentorship Program! Our program is designed to support the transition of incoming students into the St. Mike’s community and university life. We are a team of professionally trained domestic and international upper-year students, pursuing a wide range of academic programs and interests, and readily able to mentor in a variety of different languages. By choosing to participate in the Program, you would be matched with a Mentor best corresponding to your profile, in hopes of providing a personalized, fun, and formative experience in your first year at UofT. As a Mentee of the Program, you would be receiving:
E-mentorship through the summer months -
Your Mentor would be connecting with you online, answering any questions you might have and checking in with important information leading up to your first day at UofT. Mentors will be able to provide resources relating to course selection, academic planning, as well as life at university and in the St. Mike’s community. Important resources on topics such as mental health, finding research and internship opportunities, and subject-specific tutoring services are just some which we can provide!
Mentorship throughout the Academic year (during the Fall and Winter semesters) -
Your relationship with your Mentor would transition into a combination of 1-on-1 and group meetings on a regular basis, with continued confidential academic and personal advice on anything relating to the ups and downs of first-year!
