    • *Important Note

      In accordance with Alabama 811's operating procedures, the services provided by the locate request call center & online portal will remain functional during our observed holidays. However, these holidays (New Years Day, National Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day) will not count towards your allotted time for positive response. If any of these holidays occur on a Saturday, it will be observed on the preceding Friday and if any of these holidays occur on a Sunday, it will be observed on the following Monday.

    • Positive Response is a process to facilitate communication between utilities, excavators and Alabama 811, regarding the status of identifying and marking the underground facilities within the proposed area of excavation on locate request tickets.
