Memory Mirror, by Lares Feliciano, is an immersive installation at the Denver Art Museum that invites visitors to explore their relationship with memory through animation, dioramas, and interactive storytelling. Designed to feel like an intimate living room, Memory Mirror transforms the museum’s Precourt Family Discovery Hall into a surreal domestic den that is both familiar and fantastic.

As part of the installation, Feliciano is inviting the community to contribute images or an audio recording that represent a personal memory. Submit your memory below.

Memory Mirror, de Lares Feliciano, es una instalación inmersiva en el Denver Art Museum que invita a los visitantes a explorar su relación con la memoria a través de la animación, dioramas y el relato interactivo de historias. Diseñado para evocar una sala de estar íntima, Memory Mirror transforma el Salón de Descubrimiento Precourt Family en un cuarto doméstico surrealista que es, a la vez, familiar y fantástico.

All memory contributions are made directly to and stored digitally by the artists, Lares Feliciano. Audio contributions will be edited and layered with other sounds to be played in the installation. Images contributed will be digitally edited into an animated collage to be shown in the installation.

By submitting your memory contribution, you authorize Lares Feliciano, in partnership with the Denver Art Museum and its agents to document your contribution, or document your dependent(s) contribution to this installation, and to use the documentation in the artwork, to reproduce and distribute to the public, to transmit or otherwise communicate to the public (including but not limited to printed/digital materials, in-gallery content, film, video, television, Internet, website, social media outlets, and other electronic or broadcast media) and to authorize others to do the same, including future artwork created by the artist. You release and discharge Lares Feliciano and the Denver Art Museum from any claims and demands arising out of or in connection with the use of your contribution(s), or your dependent(s) contributions and waive any rights to approve or inspect the finished product. If your submission is on behalf of a minor, you warrant that you have the right and authority to submit on his/her behalf.

LIBERACIÓN DE RESPONSABILIDADES

Todas las aportaciones de memorias se hacen directamente a la artista, Lares Feliciano, quien las compilará y guardará digitalmente. Las aportaciones de las memorias en audio se editarán y se intercalarán con otros sonidos que se escucharán en la instalación. Las imágenes aportadas se editarán digitalmente y se utilizarán en colajes animados que se mostrarán en la instalación. Al hacer su aportación, estará autorizando a Lares Feliciano, en asociación con el Denver Art Museum y sus agentes, a documentar su aportación a esta instalación, o documentar la aportación de sus dependientes a esta instalación, y a usar dicha documentación en la obra de arte, así como para reproducir y distribuir públicamente, para transmitir o comunicar públicamente (incluidos, sin limitación, materiales impresos/digitales, materiales dentro de la sala, película, vídeo, televisión, Internet, sitio web, redes sociales, y otros medios electrónicos o de difusión) y autoriza a otros a hacer lo mismo, incluyendo obras futuras creadas por la artista. Usted libera y releva a Lares Feliciano y al Denver Art Museum de toda reclamación y demanda que surja de, o en relación con el uso de su(s) aportación(es) o la(s) de su(s) dependiente(s), y renuncia a todo derecho de aprobar o inspeccionar el producto terminado. Si su aportación se efectúa en nombre de un menor, declara que tiene el derecho y la autoridad de hacer la aportación en su nombre.
