Friends of the Goldenrod Community Garden Annual Membership 2023

Anyone can become a Friend of the Goldenrod Community Garden (GCG); you don’t have to have a plot or even live in Kitchissippi.

Annual membership as a Friend of the GCG requires two steps:
- contribute an amount of your choice (recommended donation $10) OR volunteer five or more hours; and,
- agree to the membership agreement and waiver linked below.
Your financial contribution supports the garden in building, maintenance and supporting other gardeners who face financial barriers.

To become a Board Member or volunteer, you must be either a Friend of the GCG or a Plot-holder. All Friends of the GCG have voting rights at the Annual General Meeting, will be included on member communications, and be invited to all events.

The Goldenrod Community Garden is located at the north-east end of Tunney’s Pasture near Parkdale Ave and Goldenrod Driveway by the Sir John A. MacDonald off-ramp. See map here.

Membership Agreement

All members must read and accept the Garden Membership Agreement and waiver below.
Volunteering
As we move into our third growing season, we are looking to provide ways for members to meet and learn from each other: mentoring, social and educational events, and the development of the garden space as a place to meet and socialise. We encourage all members to volunteer their time to help to grow our garden community.

If you would like to volunteer, please identify areas of interest in the list below and someone from the appropriate committee will contact you with more details. Note that by checking one or more boxes below, you are consenting to your name and email being shared with other Goldenrod Garden volunteers.

An annual Friend of the Goldenrod Community Garden Membership is offered on a pay what you can basis, with a recommended donation of $10, or a contribution of five or more hours of volunteer time.
