All potential sitters will go on several ride-alongs and receive extensive training prior to providing any pet care services on their own. Please do not use AI – I am looking for authentic responses & independent thinking.

  • Pet care is very rewarding, but it is still a JOB.

If you do not feel comfortable with all of the responsibilities listed below, then this opportunity may not be for you:
    • Cleaning: scooping cat litter; cleaning up messes such as poop/diarrhea, pee, or puke
    • Lifting senior dogs who may need help up/down stairs
    • Being willing to work holidays, nights, weekends
    • Doing a lot of driving (and having a backup plan should your car break down)
    • Working with dogs who may be shy/fear-aggressive (not all clients are perfect! but we love them all)
    • Following client instructions down to very last detail, no matter how silly/tedious the instructions may seem
    • Being able to recognize & react in emergency situations.
    • Being passionate about animals – going above & beyond what is asked by clients. My business is based on our reputation, and that is influenced by the work ethic of all of our employees. If you are looking for an “easy” job, please look elsewhere!
