In October 2020, ICF Credentials & Standards adopted for the first time ever the ICF Team Coaching Competencies. Based on a rigorous, global research study of Team Coaching practice, the ICF Team Coaching Competencies identify the unique knowledge and skills a professional coach must have to effectively engage in team coaching practice.
Work is now underway to develop an ICF Team Coaching designation, based on the ICF Team Coaching Competencies and designed to independently assess and recognize the competence of trained, professional team coach practitioners. ICF Credentials & Standards is seeking knowledgable, experienced team coaches to serve as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for the development and review of a psychometrically sound, high-quality assessment designed to assess a coach's knowledge and skill in team coaching pratice.
Thank you for your interest in this exciting work!
ICF Credentials & Standards is recruiting SMEs to support a variety of tasks in this effort. SMEs selected for this opportunity may be asked to engage in the following activities:
- reviewing the technical accuracy and quality of draft test questions
- providing feedback on potential bias or fairness issues in draft test questions from a diversity, equity and inclusion perspective,
- serving as raters in content validity reviews (i.e., evaluating topic relevance/appropriateness),
- developing scoring keys for individual test questions to inform overall scoring standards,
- evaluating the relatedness of test questions to the Team Coaching Competencies, and
- participating as sample test takers (i.e., pilot testers).
Please note, due to the nature of this initiative and to comply with global standards for certification bodies, individuals who serve in any capacity with a coach training program (e.g., owner, director of training, faculty, assessor, staff) are not eligible to serve as Subject Matter Expert volunteers for this effort.
